FAQ
What exactly are the biscuits?
Clew’s Kitchen biscuits are savory, protein forward baked goods made with eggs, meat, vegetables, cheese, and gluten free flours. They are fully baked, ready to eat, and designed to be filling and satisfying without relying on protein powders or sweet flavors.
Are the biscuits gluten free?
The biscuits are made with gluten free flours such as almond flour and gluten free all purpose flour. While we do not currently operate in a dedicated gluten free facility, we take care in sourcing and preparation.
Are they sweet or savory?
They are completely savory. Clew’s Kitchen focuses on flavor forward, satisfying food without sweetness, making the biscuits suitable for breakfast, snacks, or alongside a meal.
How much protein is in each biscuit?
Each biscuit contains approximately 14 to 16 grams of protein, depending on the flavor. Protein comes from real ingredients like eggs, meat, and cheese, not powders or supplements.
Do the biscuits need to be refrigerated or frozen?
Yes. Biscuits should be kept refrigerated or frozen. They are fully baked and can be enjoyed cold, at room temperature, or warmed. They should be kept for 5 days in the refrigerator and can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Can I freeze them?
Yes. The biscuits freeze very well. Frozen biscuits should be thawed in the refrigerator and enjoyed within several days once thawed.
How do I reheat them?
Biscuits can be reheated in a toaster oven, oven, or microwave until warmed through. Many people also enjoy them straight from the refrigerator.
